Tuberculosis (TB) training and education

Queensland Tuberculosis Control Program (QTCP) staff members are available to provide education sessions on request for:

• health professionals of tertiary institutions and health facilities
• groups identified as having contact with a TB case and require more information.

Training for service providers

The QTCP provides free training for providers of tuberculin testing and BCG vaccination throughout Queensland. Reaccreditation of vaccinators is also provided on a two-yearly basis, in accordance with the requirements of the Drug Therapy Protocol.
