As part of our commitment to improve the delivery of tuberculosis services in Queensland, the Queensland Tuberculosis Control Program (QTCP) is governed by two committees:
The Consensus Committee is responsible for monitoring, advising on and leading the quality of the state-wide Program through reviewing Program standards, policies and protocols in accordance with national and state policies. The Consensus Committee meets annually and is chaired by the Queensland Tuberculosis Control Centre (QTBCC) Director. The Committee reports to Queensland Health’s Communicable Diseases Branch and actions follow-up with other stakeholders as necessary. Its membership includes:
The Quality and Safety Committee is responsible for monitoring and advising on the quality of the QTCP at a local level. The Committee meets bi-monthly and reports directly to the QTBCC management team. The responsibilities of the Quality and Safety Committee include:
