The Australian Council for Safety and Quality in Health Care has developed ‘10 Tips for Safer Health Care' to assist patients and their carers to become more actively involved in their own health care decision making. The 10 Tips resources provide:
- tips for patients/consumers to improve their health care;
- an outline of what sort of information patients/consumers can expect from their health care professional;
- sources of information for patients/consumers to find out more about their condition and how to manage their medicines; and
- information about what patients/consumers can do if they have concerns about their health care.
