Payments will be paid in the first pay period after the first day of the following months: July, October, January and April. Radiation therapists undertaking their Professional Development Year will be eligible for the payment. Pro rata payments will be made to part time employees.

Salary Sacrificing Opportunities
Queensland Health employees working in a clinical environment can now access attractive salary packaging arrangements which provide a Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) exemption, on items that normally attract FBT, of up to AUD$17,000 grossed up per annum. This allows you to deduct some of your pre tax income to pay for benefits such as, mortgage repayments, car parking, and many other items usually subject to FBT from your pre- taxed income reducing the amount of tax you are required to pay. By reducing your pre tax income you can reduce the amount of income tax you pay and increase the amount you take home each fortnight (approximately AUD$4500 after tax per annum).
