Any person who possesses dental diagnostic radiation apparatus must hold an appropriate possession licence, issued under the Radiation Safety Act 1999. To apply for a licence, the following steps should be followed:
Download and complete the application form:
Develop a radiation safety and protection plan which details the radiation protection measures that will be conducted by your practice.

Submit the completed application form, with a signed and dated radiation safety and protection plan, to Radiation Health. The prescribed fee must accompany the application.
