The Radiation Safety Act 1999 requires Queensland Health to keep a register about licensees, accredited persons, and qualified persons (ie. radiation safety officers). The information that must be provided in this register is prescribed in part 9A of the Radiation Safety Regulation 1999. If requested, Queensland Health can provide a list of persons who hold an accreditation certificate issued under the Radiation Safety Act 1999. You will need to ensure that the person holds an appropriate certificate to issue an assessment report or compliance certificate for your premises or radiation sources. Contact Radiation Health

If requested, Queensland Health can provide a list of transport companies who have advised Radiation Health that they have drivers licensed under the Radiation Safety Act 1999 to transport radioactive substances. Contact Radiation Health
It is the responsibility of the possession licensee to ensure that the package containing the radioactive substance is transported in accordance with the ARPANSA Code of Practice for the Safe Transport of Radioactive Material 2001, and to ensure that the driver is appropriately licensed to transport the particular type of radioactive substance.
