Clinical Pharmacology

Clinical Pharmacology offers a range of services, including therapeutic drug monitoring, consultation liaison for patients with pharmacological problems and various process issues with drug prescribing and availability.  The department also aims to enhance safe and cost effective drug therapy within the hospital. 
 

Other activities include teaching of under-graduate and post-graduate medical students, nursing staff and allied health staff and undertaking ongoing clinical and basic pharmacology research.

Clinical Pharmacology is involved in a variety of research projects e.g. drug utilisation projects, Wave II - the National Medication Safety Breakthrough Collaborative.
