The Executive Director of Nursing Services collaborates with the Directors of Nursing within the Central Area Health Service (CAHS) to provide leadership and strategic direction for nursing services in the CAHS. The Nursing Service of the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital Health Service District employs more than 3000 Nursing and Midwifery Staff.
The Executive Director of Nursing Services and the Nursing Directors form the nursing leadership in the District, developing strategies and policies on nursing, patient care and related service delivery. Nursing Directors have key executive divisional roles and assume responsibility for nursing services in their divisions.
