Nursing Services

The Nursing Service of the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) employs more than 3200 nursing and midwifery staff.  Nursing staff at RBWH work hard to provide patient centred care that delivers the best possible health outcomes.

The Executive Director of Nursing Services and the Nursing Directors form the nursing leadership in the district, developing strategies and policies on nursing, patient care and related service delivery.  Nursing Directors have key executive roles and assume responsibility for nursing services in their Service Lines.
