Orthopaedic Surgery

This department offers a comprehensive service in adult orthopaedic surgery and a 24-hour emergency service.

Specialist Clinics include complex joint reconstruction, sports knee injuries, limb reconstruction, hand and microvascular surgery, spinal and scoliosis.

• Referral service to Queensland
• Centre for Trauma Management
• Decentralised outpatients department and fracture clinic
• Reconstructive surgery and revision prosthetic surgery
• Orthopaedic service for haemophiliacs
• Physiotherapists, occupational therapists and social workers attached to inpatient wards
• Sub-speciality services include hand surgery, upper limb surgery, knee surgery, spinal surgery, scoliosis surgery and a musculoskeletal Infection service.
