A hospital is not just a building, its about people

Who we care for

The RCH provides services across most health specialties to children and young people aged 0 to 14 years (up to 15th birthday) living in Queensland, northern New South Wales, the nearby Pacific Islands, New Zealand and Japan.

Family centred care is central to who we are as an organisation. It acknowledges that the family is the constant in a child and young person's life, and reflects our commitment to partnering with families in our pursuit of best possible health care outcomes for children and young people.

Activity data and population trends show that the RCH is providing health care services to a geographical area with a rapidly increasing childhood population.
