RCH is the leading tertiary teaching hospital in Queensland providing services of a world class standard such as those offered by the Community and Child and Youth Mental Health Services. As a teaching facility, research and education are of major importance with impacts in the services provided at the RCH and paediatric facilities all over the world.
RCH is known for being at the forefront of many key developments. Supported by dedicated grants from the RCH Foundation, Allied Health staff have undertaken cutting edge research in a range of areas including
CHSD provides a range of learning opportunities available within the District for Allied Health staff.
CHSD Speech Pathologists are leading on the roll out of Hanen parent education across the State, a jointly managed venture across the hospital, community and mental health areas. The CHSD Physio Clinical Development group meets monthly to enhance working practices across the team; this includes our Physios working in Rehabilitation and our world class Gait Laboratory.
Allied Health are valued for their unique professional clinical and team contribution
Within the Hospital we have clear professional structures that support and enhance working practices across the full range of paediatric specialities.
Our Physio led Talipes service is fully integrated with the Orthopaedic service.
Audiology have a successful and rewarding working relationship with the ENTs.
Dieticians are highly valued by their colleagues in Respiratory and Endocrine Medicine.
