Family advisory council

The Children's Health Queensland Family Advisory Council (FAC) was established to:

Dedicated to family centred care

The values, objectives and initiatives of the CHQFAC are based on the principle of family centred care, which is:

"...an approach to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of health care that is grounded in mutually beneficial partnerships among health care patients, families, and providers."

Get involved

The CHQFAC acknowledges the excellent work and efforts of those involved in delivering children's health services however, there is always room for improvement. We rely on families to let us know that the work undertaken will benefit the maximum number of families.

You can assist the CHQFAC to represent families' needs by sharing your stories and ideas. Please use the confidential online comments and suggestions form to communicate with the CHQFAC. All comments and suggestions are welcome.

If you would like to join the CHQFAC, complete an application form. Membership is subject to vacancies at the time.
