About the service
This service provides prevention and early intervention services for parents/caregivers of children aged 0-12 years through its Community Child Health Centres.
  
Community Child Health Centres are staffed by a multidisciplinary health team.  All aspects of child health and parenting support are provided including: 

• Health surveillance and screening
• Growth and development assessment
• Hearing assessment and referral
• Behavioural expectations
• Infant feeding clinics
• Information on nutritional requirements - healthy eating and physical activity
• Immunisation Clinics
• Parents discussion groups
• Triple P (Positive Parenting Programs)
  

Services are delivered

• in the clinic
• in the home
• via the Community Child Health Internet site

 

Other services provided:

Self Weigh facilities available at a number of centres: Phone  1300 366 039.

Early Feeding Support Clinics available at Kallangur and Alderley (for the first two weeks after hospital discharge for new babies). Drop in Monday to Friday 9am-12md no appointment required.  Closed public holidays.

Infant Feeding Support Programs (day programs for infants under 6 months with feeding concerns).  Bookings 1300 366 039.

Parents/carers living within the Children’s Health Services or health professionals who wish to access services should contact the

Central Intake Service :  Phone 1300 366 039.

Telephone between 8.30am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
