Staff of the Children's Health Services District believe and are committed to:

Our Mission is to help children and young people to better health and well being in service provision, education and research across hospital and community settings.

Approach to business
The Children's Health Services District’s
- devolved management structure
- use of balanced scorecard methodology and
- engagement strategies that include
- involvement of (external) District Health Council members in governance
- formal active linkages with local general practitioner groups and specialist colleges
- regular consultation with trade unions on service and organisational changes and
- a formal patient complaints and compliments systems
ensure a robust approach to governance, service delivery and development that embodies the organisation’s mission and values.
