Studying viruses and their agents to improve child health

 

 

SASVRC

The Sir Albert Sakzewski Virus Research Centre (SASVRC) is a research-dedicated institution of some 40 scientists and clinicians and is located at the Royal Children’s Hospital. 

The centre conducts basic and clinical investigations into viruses assocaiated with human diseases, particularly those affecting children.

It collaborates with research institutions worldwide in its quest to understand, diagnose and treat viral diseases. 

The centre also functions as the Clinical Medical Virology Centre (CMVC) at the University of Queensland and has a major role in the education and training of young medical research graduates.
