Ophthalmology

Service
This tertiary service covers all aspects of paediatric ophthalmology, including:

• Amblyopia and strabismus
• Ocular and orbital oncology
• Oculogenetics
• Paediatric glaucoma
• Childhood cataract
• Visual electro physiology
• Assessment of children with visual failure

The Oculoplastics Clinic provides tertiary sub-speciality care in eyelid, lacrimal and orbital disorders, including:

• Epiphora and congenital nasolacrimal obstruction
• Ptosis
• Other eyelid malpositions

Referral
Medical referrals are required and appointments are best made by emailing the clinic on RCHeyes@health.qld.gov.au.
