Project delivery

Staff

Local staff are actively participating in the development of services and facility design for the new hospital.

Project Steering Committee

This committee is the peak governance committee for the project and has representatives from key government agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to delivering the hospital.

Project Control Group

The Project Control Group includes senior executives and clinicians from the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. The group provides strategic direction and decision making on issues raised by the project team or Chief Executive. The group provides advice to the project team regarding service and functional design scope and operational issues.

Staff user groups

Local multi-disciplinary staff user groups were established early on and will continue to meet at various stages of the project. The groups meet with technical specialists including service planners, architects and engineers to develop the services and design of the new hospital.

During the design of the hospital over 250 staff and stakeholders will be engaged to help shape the final outcome in a process referred to as Design Development.
