	The Townsville University Hospital, is currently undergoing a $484.2 million redevelopment which will include the south block redevelopment, expanded cancer centre, secure mental health, planned procedure unit and sub-acute facility.
	Two new theatres at the Townsville University Hospital are helping to dramatically reduce wait times for elective surgery for patients across the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
	The Josephine Sailor Adolescent Inpatient Unit and Day Service is providing the first overnight inpatient care and day therapy service for adolescents in North Queensland living with a mental illness.
	On Palm Island, the mobile health van for health workers provides education, vaccinations and chronic disease support.
	Expansion of the Tele-chemo model enables rural nurses to provide cancer-fighting drugs to rural patients while being guided, via video link, by medical oncologists and expert chemotherapy nurses from The Townsville Hospital.
	Extension of outreach cardiology clinics to rural hospitals, including Charters Towers and Ingham will keep rural patients closer to home.
