Our services
The Sexual Health and HIV Psychology Service (SHHPS) provides a range of brief to longer-term evidence based psychological services for people living with HIV (PLHIV) and other sexual health issues, particularly in the area of sexually transmissible infections (STIs).  Services are provided by a team of psychologists and a sessional psychiatrist.

Services provided include:

• Psychological support for PLHIV and other sexual health issues, particularly STIs.
• Psychological support and social adjustment to HIV or other STI diagnoses
• Anxiety, stress and depression management for PLHIV or other STI diagnoses
• Management of chronic conditions for PLHIV
• Psychological support and management of sexual risk-taking for those at risk of HIV and other STIs
• Psychological support for treatment adhereance
• Brief psychological support for significant others of PLHIV
• Consultant psychiatrist available for psychiatric assessment and review

Charges/costs
The services are provided free of charge.
