Eligibility Criteria

All women 40 years and over
Women 50-69 years are the target group and are encouraged to have one every 2 years

Important Information
BreastScreen Queensland Services are the only nationally accredited breast cancer screening services in Queensland

One-on-one: A breastscreen is one-on-one with a female health professional
Quality: Each breastscreen is independently read by two specially trained doctors
Free: Breast cancer screening and follow-up assessment tests with a multi-disciplinary team, if required, are free
Quick: Screening appointment takes approximately 30 minutes
Convenient: Our services are provided at over 200 locations throughout Queensland
Southside Health Service District locations include QEII Jubilee Hospital, Redlands, Inala, Logan, Coorparoo, Wynnum, Jindalee
Accessible: A GP referral is not required - just call 13 20 50
Helpful: Clients are sent a reminder letter when their next breastscreen is due
