The following outpatient services are provided at Redland Hospital
Perioperative Service
Medical Ambulatory Services
Surgical Ambulatory Services
Women and Birthing Services
Hospital or GP referrals are required for all patients who are to see a consultant. Most referrals are categorised by consultants and appointments are sent to patients accordingly.
Urgent Referrals
Should a patient need to be seen urgently,
please speak to the appropriate consultant regarding "add on" to a
particular OPD clinic, then contact the Coordinator or OPD Manager to
book an appointment
Allocation of Appointments
* Appointments are sent to
patients according to the consultant's categorisation
* Overbookings
cannot be made without the consultant's approval
* We ask you not to
send patients to the department without prior notification. If unsure,
please ring the OPD Coordinator or Manager
* Patients are advised to
confirm their appointment within 14 days. Failure to do so may result in
the appointment being allocated to someone else (waiting times for
clinic 7 weeks - 18 months)
