Service Description

  • The Respiratory Service offers individual consultations which are prioritised and provided by the various clinicians as required.  The majority of consultations are conducted in client's homes.  If the client lives outside the QEII District catchment area they can be seen at a QEII Community Health site.
  • Many clients are recommended to attend the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program.  The program is conducted at Inala Community Health Centre throughout the year.  The program can be found here.
  • A Home Based Pulmonary Maintenance Program is offered which is individually designed and outcome based.  Clients are regularly monitored by the respiratory nurse and physiotherapist.  Clients who have completed Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at either the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Mater or Inala Community Health within the past 1 month are eligible to participate.

The Respiratory Service team consists of:

Respiratory Physician - acts as respiratory medicine resource person and links to relevant respiratory networks.
