The Falls Injury Prevention Collaborative (FIPC) achieves its priorities and objectives through the activities of its working groups.
| Falls Clinic Working Group |
| The Falls Clinics Working Group was formed to develop a business case for the pilot of a coordinated falls injury prevention service at the district level, comprising of a hospital-based falls clinic and a community based falls prevention program. Funding has been allocated for two such clinics for 12 months in Queensland Health Service Districts. |
| Falls Specialist Officer Working Group |
| The Falls Specialist Officer Working Group was formed to develop a business case for the pilot of falls specialist officers in Queensland Health Service Districts to coordinate district level programs. |
| Environmental Working Group |
| The purpose of the Environmental Working Group is to identify opportunities and facilitate research into environmental factors and falls prevention in the hospital and residential aged-care environment. |
| Data and Reporting Working Group |
| The Data and Reporting Working Group (formerly PRIME Working Group) was formed to develop and improve systems and indicators for reporting falls within Queensland Health. |
| Cross-Continuum Working Group |

The Cross-Continuum Working Group was formed tofulfill two primary roles. Namely, to promote and support a cross-continuum focus in falls injury prevention and to provide opportunities for an integrated collaborative approach across population health, community health, Home and Community Care (HACC), acute and residential aged care sectors. |
| Education and Resource Development Working Group |

The Education and Resource Development Working Group was created to develop and improve the quality and availability of information, education, training and awareness programs for both health professionals and consumers. |
| How do I join a Falls Injury Prevention working group? |
| Membership of working groups is drawn from the FIPC, through expressions of interest to the chair of the respective working group. If you would like to join the FIPC, please contact Queensland Health’s Falls Injury Prevention Program Coordinator for more information. |
