This section helps you to answer the question:
‘Are we reaching the target audience and achieving planned strategies?’

How can I collect process information?
Information about the project/program's strategies can be easily collected using a variety of methods including mailing databases, attendance sheets and surveys. Focus groups, surveys and observation can be used to record if the project/program was undertaken as planned.

Some simple ways to collect process information include:

• a daily logbook, also known as a process log, which captures daily activity and issues (this was used effectively in the Queensland Health and Department of Emergency Services trial Child Injury Prevention Project)

• attendance sheets used at meetings, education sessions and events

• mailing lists, which can record information including suburb, postcode, year of birth, date started on list, gender, organisation and type of materials sent, requested and received

  The Queensland Stay on Your Feet Wide Bay/Burnett trial project used a cross-sectional computer-assisted telephone interview (CATI) at the beginning and the end of the project. This type of evaluation could also be used periodically for larger projects/programs with an evaluation budget and expert support [26].
