What the waiting times indicate

Queensland Health publishes information regarding waiting times for elective surgery on a quarterly basis. The Elective Surgery Waiting List Report details information from 31 hospitals in Queensland, representing 95 percent of elective surgery undertaken in public hospitals. The report provides information regarding the current number of patients on lists by facility, specialty and urgency category and an indication of how long they have been on the list. The report shows how many patients are waiting from the time they were placed on the list.
