Telehealth is an extension of the way we can communicate with patients, nurses, doctors and other specialists by using in most cases videoconferencing (that is basically a TV screen and a digital video camera). Telehealth allows patients in rural and remote locations to talk to and see a health professional from any hospital in Queensland, without the need to travel too far from home.
