Indoor smoking bans at non-licensed food and BYO premises have been in place in Queensland since May 2002.
Since 1 July 2006, all non-enclosed (i.e. outdoor) eating and drinking areas where food or drink is provided as part of a business, must be no-smoking.
This general rule applies to all businesses.
