Cardwell is located approximately 1 hour south of Innisfail on the Bruce Highway and provides health services to a community of approximately 2,500 people.
The Community Health Centre was opened in 2004 and honours the memory of Dr Robert "Bob" Warnock, a long serving GP from the area. The Cardwell Family Practice GP co-located in 2006 with the Community Health Centre and provides enhanced health service to the community.
