Magnetic Island is a tropical island located 8 kilometres east of Townsville. Magnetic Island Health Service Centre (MIHSC) is a Primary Health Care Facility that provides clinical services to residents and visitors to Magnetic Island.  Co-located with MIHSC is the New Era Family Practice that provides medical consultations and services.

Clinic Services

Nursing Services – Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm

Saturday 9.00am - 1.00pm

The following nursing services are available:

• Accident and Emergency treatment
• Health Promotion and Education
• Child Health Services
• Home Visits
• Vaccinations
• Referrals to other Community Health Care Services.

Nursing and Medical staff are available after hours for emergencies.

New Era Family Practice

Opening Hours 9.00am - 4.30pm (General Practitioner)

Closed Sundays

Open Public Holidays 9.00am - 12.30pm

• Mental Health
