Welcome to the Richmond Health Service. We provide an accident and emergency service, general medical/surgical ward, long-stay elder care and daily outpatient session.
The service has several visiting services including paediatrics and a chest physician.
A variety of allied health services are also available including visiting optometry, school oral health, dietetics, podiatry, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and dentistry.
Community health services include a community nurse and visiting school-based youth health nurse. The centre also has ATODS (Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs), community mental health and social workers through their outreach services. 'Well Women's Clinics' are also available to the community which offer free pap smears and confidential advice to women by a women's health GP.
In September 2008, the Richmond Health Service, as part of the Institute of Rural Health - Charters Towers, was accredited with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards.
