The Townsville Hospital provides a comprehensive healthcare environment that has been designed with a patient-friendly approach to layout and location of services. The clustering of services from the same disciplines as well as the new model of care promotes familiarity with staff and easy access for patients and their families.

This new hospital of 460 beds is the major tertiary referral hospital of the Northern Zone and has been designed to cater for continuing developments in medical technology and patient care.
