The Townsville Health Service District is committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment for health care staff and the community who access the services to ensure we maintain the highest quality care for all patients and customers.
All patients and customers are treated equally, regardless of their status or benefit eligibility. Our focus is to involve patients in health care delivery ensuring their needs are met. The way in which we attempt to do this is by providing satisfaction surveys, connecting client-focused interviews and with the appointment of a Patient/Staff Liaison Officer.
Visiting a large organisation can be a stressful and daunting experience for patients, carers, family and visitors. To help ensure this experience is as pleasant and trouble free as possible the following section has been developed to provide information relating to patients' care as well as general information about the hospital's facilities.
The information can easily be photocopied and given to the patient, carer, family and others prior to presenting to the THSD. Not all the information is contained within this section as it may be sent out to patients and also available in the form of comprehensive guides, pamphlets and other mediums when the patient attends the hospital.
