Townsville RSOS is being developed to support rural and remote nursing and allied health clinicians in the management of stroke patients across the continuum of their care. Funded to target Northern Zone districts affiliated with Townsville, this service is linked with other developing stroke services across Qld Health, including:
The RSOS team is committed to helping busy clinicians maximize their stroke service provision within the limits of existing rural and remote services. The multi-disciplinary team consists of experienced clinicians who dedicate the equivalent of one day per week to developing and providing this service, including:
The team are currently completing needs analysis surveys and benchmarking with other outreach services. Input from rural and remote clinicians is vital to ensure that this developing service is tailored to best meet varying discipline and locality-specific needs. Confirmation of the specific RSOS services devised for this financial year will be distributed widely.
