Medical Ward 1

Medical 1 is an acute general and speciality medical unit. Casemix includes renal, cardiac, respiratory, diabetes, rehabilitation and medicine of old age and a 4 bed acute detoxification unit. It is located on the first floor at the western end of the ward block. Phone +61 7 4796 2110

Medical 1 strives to provide a client focussed and value driven service to clients and their families within the Townsville Health Service District. The unit functions in close affiliation with the Renal Unit and Alcohol, Tobacco and other Drug Service (ATODS). Service provision extends across the district and into regional communities.

The ward block of the Townsville Hospital features single, double and four bedrooms. Located adjacent to the main block it is accessed via two covered links.
