The Surgical Outpatients at The Townsville Hospital serves the Northern and Far Northern region of the state. We cater for all Surgical Specialities excluding women's and children's health, cardiac and facio-maxilla clinics, which are attended elsewhere in the organisation. Also public general surgical clinics including clo-rectal, breast, high risk foot, vascular, urological and fracture clinics.We cater for 24 consultants and have an operational team of 24 staff, including Nursing, Administration, and Plaster Technicians.
This modern unit has electronic access for pathology and imaging with a PC in each consulting room.
We strive to provide equitable, timely access to high quality healthcare whilst focusing on education, health promotion, and liaison with primary health care services. The surgical utpatients/Clinics are located on Level 2, of the Acute Block, The Townsville Hospital. Phone +61 7 4796 2700.
