Postnatal Medical Check

Remember to have a medical check with your General Practitioner for both yourself and your baby when baby is 6 weeks old. This visit is an opportunity to discuss issues such as the need for a regular Pap smear, contraception choices, a reminder about baby's immunisation (due at 8 weeks of age) and how you are adjusting to, and feeling about, your role as a parent.

Contraception advice is also available from Family Planning Association of Queensland
