With a dedicated workforce of approximately 3500 staff, The Prince Charles Hospital provides health services to residents living in the northern suburbs of Brisbane and specialist services to the broader Queensland and northern New South Wales population.

A new general Emergency Department was opened in early 2007. While the services offered by our Emergency Department have expanded, patients with severe trauma (eg multiple injuries, severe head injuries and serious burns) obstetric patients and paediatric patients requiring admission to hospital for treatment will be referred to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital or the Royal Children's Hospital for care.

Specialised state-wide services include heart and lung transplantation; adult cystic fibrosis; congenital heart disease and heart failure; and complex cardiac care.

The Prince Charles Hospital provides the Brisbane northside community with one of the most extensive community service programs in the State.  Programs are delivered from adult community centres at Brighton, Chermside, Keperra (North West), St Pauls Terrace (Lutwyche Centre), Aspley and Pine Rivers.  Alcohol and Drug Services are provided in Brisbane City, Indooroopilly, Pine Rivers and on The Prince Charles Hospital campus.  The Sexual Health and AIDS Service provides services and clinics at Keperra, Strathpine, West End and Brisbane City.

Our staff are committed to providing you with the highest level of care.
