As a major specialist referral centre in the fields of cardiac, thoracic, orthopaedics, general medicine and surgery, along with mental health, aged and extended care, high calibre multidisciplinary research programs continue at and in conjunction with The Prince Charles Hospital.

The Research, Ethics and Governance Unit manages and coordinates Health and Medical Research and related development activities within the jurisdiction of The Prince Charles Hospital. It is the single point of contact for all matters relating to human and biomedical research and related developmental activities within the facility.
