What is a Medical Education Officer (MEO)
A Medical Education Officer, or ‘MEO’, works in partnership with a Director of Clinical Training (DCT) to provide education and support to the junior doctors in their hospital. Within each hospital, the MEO is also responsible for facilitating the accreditation process of the Postgraduate Medical Education Council of Queensland (PMCQ) for the junior doctor training program. The MEO is an integral member of the Medical Education Unit, where they utilise their educational expertise to coordinate and oversee junior doctor training and development.
