Forsayth is a tiny historic mining town situated in central far north Queensland. The town was established during the gold rush of the 1870s to house the terminus of a train line used to transport gold-bearing ore from the Etheridge Goldfield to the crushing batteries of Chillagoe. The train line is still in use today for “The Savannahland”, a tourist train between Cairns and Forsayth. Forsayth offers a peaceful and relaxed outback lifestyle in the rich and fertile environment of the Gulf Savannah. Population: 90 Queensland Health facilities in District: 10
