Muttaburra is a tiny remote outback town situated in the heart of central Queensland. The town sits on one the world’s richest repositories of fossilised marine and dinosaur bones and is famous for the discovery of the “Muttaburrasauras”, a previously unknown dinosaur. Meaning “meeting of the waters” in Aboriginal, Muttaburra is located on the edge of the Aramac Shire and supports local sheep and cattle industries.
