Inglewood is a tiny country town situated in the south west corner of the Darling Downs region of Queensland. It is the administrative and commercial centre of the Inglewood Shire, a traditional agricultural and pastoral region, producing sheep, cattle, timber, grains, crops and honey. Originally an important tobacco town, Inglewood has secured future economic success with new industries, including olives and ecotourism. It is fast becoming “Australia’s Olive Capital” with rapidly expanding olive farms and a major olive oil processing plant.
