Primary & community health services Northside Primary & Community Health Service (NP&CHS) provides the following services across the District: -Primary Health and Care Coordination Services; -Rehabilitation and Consultation Services; -Community Acute Post Acute Services; -Palliative Care; -Healthier Children and Families; -Indigenous Health; -Alcohol and Drug Services; and -Sexual Health and HIV Service NP&CHS also provides the following host services for Queensland Health: -Taxi Subsidy Assessment Unit -Home & Community Care Resource Unit -Area Home & Community Care Managers -Continuous Positive Airways Pressure (CPAP) Program -Cross District Indigenous Coordination
Mental health services -Mobile Intensive Support Team (MIST) which is an amalgamated team for Northside Mental Health Services -Acute inpatient unit -Adult mental health team -Child & youth mental health team The following specialised mental health services are provided within the District: -Consultation Liaison Service -Resource Team which includes >Indigenous Mental Health Team >Forensic Liaison Officer >Dual Diagnosis Coordinator >GP Liaison Officer >Consumer Support Program -Recovery and Rehabilitation Team -Early Psychoses Team -Electroconvulsive Therapy Department
Aged care, residential & disability services The following services are provided within the District: -Ashworth House Aged Care Facility (Zillmere) -Cooinda House Aged Care Facility (Redcliffe) -Eventide Aged Care Facility (Brighton) -Jacana Acquired Brain Injury Service (Bracken Ridge and Brighton)
Oral health services Free comprehensive dental care including general treatment, prosthetic services, oral pathology services, treatment under general anaesthesia and specialist referrals is available to eligible community adults and their children under 4 years of age who are Queensland residents and possess a Health Care Card. Waiting lists apply for general dental treatment. Emergency services are available at the Redcliffe and Caboolture Dental Clinics Monday-Friday. For emergency treatment and assessments clients are required to contact the Oral Health Call Centre on 1300 300 850 Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) 7.30 am-4.00 pm. All Queensland children from four years of age to grade 10 are eligible to access the school based dental service and are treated in the dental vans and fixed school dental clinics.



Capital Works or Recent Improvements:

-Refurbished recovery rooms and sterilising area -Expanded mental health inpatient capacity by 5 beds -Constructed demountable for mental health and medical staff -Transferred to energy performance contract to reduce energy consumption -Refurbished the staff tea room -Work has commenced on refurbishment of the Emergency Department
