Capital Works or Recent Improvements:
The renal unit refurbishment was completed in 2007 providing 4 additional renal dialysis chairs including 2 isolation rooms. Major internal refurbishment is occurring, with movement of services out of clinical areas to create an additional 26 beds at NGH during 2008. This will include: - Relocation of medical records into purpose built area - Relocation of clinical support staff into purpose built area - Relocation of Pre-Admission clinic into leased facilities across the road - Relocation of the library into purpose built area - Relocation of renal training clinics into purpose built area - Recommissioning of beds within theses spaces to provide beds. Hibiscus House is being rebuilt off site. The new facility will have an additional 5 beds and completion is expected in 2009. |
