Capital Works or Recent Improvements:
-Extension of existing Emergency Department providing 6 observation beds completed July 2008. -Extension and refurbishment of Mental Health to be completed September 2009. -Early construction and enabling works including administration refurbishments commenced November 2008. -Construction of new main building to accommodate Emergency Department and Maternity commenced May 2009, expected completion April 2010. -Construction of a new building to accommodate 15 bed Observation Ward. -Convert old Emergency Department and Maternity for Allied Health, Pharmacy, Medical Records commence early 2010, forecast completion November 2010. -Construction of new community health leased building due to be completed by December 2009. -Convert old Maternity Unit Block early 2010, after community heath relocate, for Allied Health and Rehabilitation, expected completion late 2010. Convert old Rehabilitation for new medical ward, expected completion by January 2011. -Occupy new medical ward early 2011. -Planning commenced for $17.5m improvements to oral health facilities in the Wide Bay-Burnett region, including new Oral Health facility at Bundaberg. |
