  1. When HeSA has processed your application they mail the DAO an installation package. This package contains:
A Read Me First letter containing an application reference number.
A floppy disk containing your keys and certificates
Additional HeSA information, including installation notes, etc.
An Acknowledgement of package delivery fax-back letter.

  2. The floppy disk contains five (5) files:

Note: Before you can install the certificates, you need to get your Personal Identification Code (PIC). The PIC is a randomly generated alpha-numeric code. For example, 1aHu9$C.

  1. To get your PIC, sign the Acknowledgement of package delivery fax-back letter and fax to the HeSA fax number provided.
Allow time for HeSA to receive and process the fax letter, (4 business hours is recommended), and then telephone the HeSA PKI Customer Service Centre on the number provided.
You will need to provide your Application Reference Number, (provided with the package), AND your Secret Identification, (as supplied by you on page 1 of the Identification Reference Form.
You have a maximum of three attempts to provide the correct reference number and secret identification. If you cannot do so, the PIC will be mailed to the address specified on the HCL application forms. This can take 5 days or more.

  2. If you are successful in providing the reference number and secret identification, HeSA will give you your Personal Identification Code (PIC) over the telephone.

  3. Receiving your PIC and the Location Certificates completes the registration process.

The DAO is now able to Import the Certificates onto the desktop(s).
