This guideline details how to import Medicare Australia Certificates onto a Pharmacy workstation.
Open your browser, enter the S8 Online web site address,
https://s8online.health.qld.gov.au, and press Enter.
Note: Ensure you enter https, (not http). The s indicates a
secure connection.
A Security Information window displays. Click on the Yes button.
The Queensland Health, Schedule 8 Online page displays.
Click on the S8 File Upload link.
The S8 Online application starts and (after approx 30 - 90 seconds) displays.
Select the Keys/Certificates tab.
Select the Import Pharmacy Site Certificates and Certificates button.
An information window displays.
Click on the OK button.
The Open window displays.
Insert the floppy disk containing the keys and certificates.
From the Look In drop down list, select the floppy drive (usually A:).
Note: If you have copied the files to your hard drive, navigate to
the relevant location.
Select fac_sign.
fac_sign.p12 displays in the File Name field.
Click on the Open button.
The Keys/Certificates Password window opens.
Enter your Personal Identification Code (PIC) and click on OK.
The Keys and Certificates are imported. (This takes approx. 15-20 seconds.)
The Key Import Success window displays.
Click on the OK button.
This completes the preparatory requirements and you are now ready to upload Schedule 8 files, (as generated by your PDS system).
