Training modules

All allied health professional students are required to complete all modules, regardless of year level, length of placement or extent of contact with patients as per the student placement training requirements.

Many of the modules are required to be completed once only. Two modules are required to be repeated annually as detailed below.

How to access the modules

Follow steps one to three below. Modules are accessed either through iLearn or by clicking on module links below.

Step 1: Complete learning modules on iLearn

  1. Obtain access to modules on iLearn platform.
    • Mozilla Firefox is the recommended browser for accessing iLearn. If you should experience any errors during the course, you will need to refresh the page or restart the module. If you continue to experience technical errors please contact the help desk on 1800 198 175.
    • You can register at https://ilearn.health.qld.gov.au/d2l/login. Once your registration is complete, you will be directed to the course catalogue. NB: It may take up to three days for your request to be actioned by the iLearn team.
    • If you are having technical difficulties with your iLearn login please contact the help desk on 1800 198 175 or refer to the iLearn user help for students (PDF 555 kB) for guidance.
  2. Complete the following modules accessed on iLearn and sign off on your evidence record as you progress.

Step 2: Complete learning modules located externally to iLearn (one-off and annual training)

  1. Access and complete the following training modules (once only)
  2. Below are the links to the required training modules, their transcripts and for some modules a short video. Please work your way through the list and sign off on your evidence record as you progress through the modules. To access each module, click on its title and you will be linked to the site housing the module.

  3. Access and complete the following training modules (to be completed every 12 months)

There are two modules that require an annual refresher (i.e. must be completed again 12 months after the initial date of completion). Complete the following modules and update your evidence record with the annual refresher completion date.

Step 3: Update your evidence record

Update your Evidence record for allied health student training (PDF 126 kB) as you progress through the training modules in Step 1 and 2 above. Present your completed Evidence Record to the educator at the commencement of your placement.
