Training modules

All allied health professional students are required to complete all modules, regardless of year level, length of placement or extent of contact with patients as per the student placement training requirements.

How to access the modules

Step 1

Modules on iLearn platform

  • Complete your registration on iLearn before accessing Program: Clinical placement student orientation 2018.
  • You can register at https://ilearn.health.qld.gov.au/d2l/login
  • Once your registration is complete, you will be directed to the course catalogue.
  • If you are having technical difficulties with your iLearn login please contact the help desk on 1800 198 175 or refer to the iLearn user help for students (PDF 870 kB) for guidance.
  • Choose the Program: Clinical Placement Student Orientation 2017.
  • Choose the module clinical placement student orientation if you are doing the training for the first time and need to complete all modules prior to placement.
  • Choose individual modules FREI and prevention and management of MSD if you are doing the required annual refresher training required.

Step 2

Complete the additional training modules for allied health students - listed below.

To access each module click on its title and you will be linked to the site housing the module. Transcripts are available for some modules as indicated next to the module link.

Step 3

Complete your Evidence record for allied health student training and keep this up to date as you complete each module.

Not all modules will give you a ‘statement of completion. You do not need to show statements of completion to your placement supervisor. All that is required is a copy of the signed evidence record.

Step 4

Present your Evidence record of allied health student training to the educator at the commencement of your placement.

Step 5

Remain up to date with the modules required to be completed annually as listed below;

  • National code of conduct for healthcare workers
  • Cultural diversity
  • Immunisation and infection prevention
  • Work health and safety induction
  • First response evacuation instructions (FREI)
  • Occupational violence prevention fundamentals
  • Prevention and management of musculoskeletal disorders
  • Privacy, confidentiality and documentation
