Free Wi-Fi Service

Stay Connected

Free Wi-Fi service is now available for patients, their families and visitors to this facility so that you can stay connected with family and friends during your stay.

This free service:

  • works on any Wi-Fi enabled device.
  • does not require a password to connect.
  • has a 12 hour limitation on connections.
  • will disconnect from the Wi-Fi network after 30 minutes of inactivity.

If you are disconnected - you will need to re-connect and re-accept the Terms of Use.

Two easy steps to connect

  1. Select the QH-FreeWiFi network on your device.
  2. Read the Queensland Health Wi-Fi Internet Terms of Use. Should you agree and accept you will be connected to the free Wi-Fi service.

The limits - keeping it fair

This free wireless service is to be used in a fair and community-minded manner. Queensland Health and this facility may, at its absolute and sole discretion, limit or block certain websites and/or content from being accessed while using the Wi-Fi service. Bandwidth may also be limited to ensure quality of service for all.

Terms of use

As this is a free service open to the general public, Queensland Health and this facility cannot guarantee the security of the Wi-Fi service at all times. Access and use of this network is at your own risk.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that usernames, passwords and security based information are kept private to prevent unauthorised access.

You understand and acknowledge that by using the Queensland Health Free Wi-Fi service to make information available on the internet or any of its protocols; such information may become available to all Internet users.

Queensland Health and this facility accept no liability for the disclosure of any such information and are not liable for any loss or damage you may sustain as a result of your use of the Wi-Fi service.


Queensland Health will only collect, use and store your personal information for the purposes of delivering wireless internet access in accordance with the applicable legislation and the Terms of Use.

How do I connect?

Bring your laptop, mobile phone or other wireless-enabled device and connect to the QH-FreeWiFi network using your wireless device.

Where and when can I connect?

The wireless network is available 24/7 and is available in most areas of all facilities.

What if I have a problem connection?

The facility staff will be aware if the Wi-Fi service is temporarily unavailable and technical support will be underway. Facility staff are not able to provide assistance so they can remain focussed on clinical patient care and their other duties.
