Information for educators

These links are for those involved in educating people about sexual health, HIV/AIDS and hepatitis.

True relationships and reproductive health provides information and resources to meet the needs of parents/carers and young people, as well as resources for professionals working in schools and health care in Queensland.

The Queensland Positive Speakers Bureau is a public speaking service provided by people living with either HIV, viral hepatitis, or both, who each have stories to tell in raising awareness and education to prevent the spread of HIV and viral hepatitis.

Sexual health and wellbeing – contains written for the public by the Queensland Government, with links to information specifically targeted towards young people.

There are two national websites targeting young people to improve knowledge, attitudes and practices for the prevention, treatment and care of STIs at www.inreallife.org.au and www.frank.org.au.

For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities the Young Deadly Free website  provides resources for young people in remote communities, as well as resources for parents, Elders, teachers and other community leaders including tips on how the whole community can work with young people to encourage STI and BBV testing, and knock out STIs and BBVs.

The NSW STI Programs Unit has produced a resource kit for young people about sexual health which includes fact sheets for workers, tools supporting organisations, and fun games to start the sexual health conversation.

Play Safe is a sexual health website produced by NSW Health for the public.

Get the Facts is a website of the WA Department of Health for young people.
